Biographies

Jean-Luc Lermusiaux is the inventor of needle aponeurotomy and has trained rheumatologists and surgeons from France, other European countries and the United States. He is renowned    as specialist in the field of hand affections.

He works as Associate Practitioner Consultant at the Unité des Affections Rhumatologiques de la Main (URAM) in Lariboisière Teaching Hospital in Paris and his private clinic in Gagny. He is president of the Association for the Study and Non Surgical Treatment of Dupuytren’s Contracture (ENTC Dupuytren).


Sophie Lahalle is a Rheumatologist in the Internal Medicine and Rheumatology Department of La Croix Saint Simon hospital in Paris.

She was trained in needle aponeurotomy by Dr Lermusiaux in the Unité des Affections Rhumatologiques de la Main (URAM) of Lariboisière Teaching Hospital, Paris. She is vice-president of the Association for the Study and Non Surgical Treatment of Dupuytren’s Contracture (ENTC Dupuytren).
